Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Well it was a busy week last week...Just getting around to posting these...First ones are obviously baseball, second ones are of the play The Kentucky Cycle Part 3...Then the third ones are from the spring football game.

The theatre photos were pretty hard...Changing conditions, and the fact I needed to keep my hand steady due to low shutter speed made things difficult.

Let me know what you guys think...The sets can be seen in their entirely on my flickr... Flickr: Central Recorder's Photostream

LOVE the sports shots! Nice work.

Absolutely love the sports shots. I like to shoot sports and am just learning at the moment. Do you mind telling me which of your lens you used and what general settings you use to get such awesome sharpness? And the timing of the baseball pitch and strike is great - any tips on how you went about getting those?

thanks heaps

In regards to timing - it takes practice. I've gotten so used to my camera's timing so I know when to start my sequence to get the shots that I want...

For equipment, I was using my D300 and the 300mm F/2.8. Settings were aperture priority on most of them because the days were partly cloudy and the sun was peaking through and then going behind the clouds...I was still constantly changing the exposure to over expose by 0.3, 0.7, or even 1.0 in some situations because of the shadows. You just need to keep your eye on the conditions to make sure you don't miss a shot because it was over or under exposed.

And thanks for the kind comments!

Great work Kenny, especially the baseball, right on with that stuff.

What on earth is going in photo 1# legs are messed up! Ditch the photos that aren't sharp like 8#.

Otherwise some great photos!

cool thanks man. I'm going to get out there tomorrow and keep practicing at the rugby club!

Stolen base with a throw that went wide...A lot of legs, I know!

In regards to #8...if you look at the subject on the right, he's sharp and in focus...For the one on the left, it's a little bit of motion blur...I was working with the lowest shutter speeds I've ever worked with (1/50th in that photo) so it was definitely a challenge.

Hi Kenny,

Very very nice shots. I have a question I currently have a Nikon D3100, do yo think it would be possible for me to take similar shots like these?
