Superman = Alien with super powers. No chance you can ever do anything he does.


One is a complete fantasy, the other could actually happen.

I'm just sayin' ... at least Batman is sort of based in reality. Batman just has cool toys and a lot of money. No reason somebody couldn't actually do the stuff he does...

Batman is the guy you can root for - he's just a normal (rich) guy, he doesn't have super powers or anything like that. He could be anyone. You could hope to be like him.

Superman, is just pure fantasy. You can't hope to be like him. You can never do the things he does. It's all made up.

Batman is an ideal you have a chance at achieving. Maybe a small (tiny) chance, but at least it's possible. Being Batman doesn't require super-human powers.

Superman is cool and everything, but he is anything but a 'normal' guy. He's not even human...

I've got to say: glad Mom did not throw out my 1960s comic book collection when I went to college! Some of them are worth a good bit. Star Trek #1 and #2. Really good 12cent investments.

ANYWAY: Superman views himself as Clark Kent, normal guy with all these powers. Duty bound to help others, when he would just like to be Clark Kent.

Batman: Bruce Wayne died when he was 10 years old, all that was left was Batman.

Um... I do love them both but for me I've always loved Batman more because he kicks ass. Superman is a softy even with all those super powers.
