i found all these bats chillen on my house. i wish i had a macro lens today.

Teehee, how nice!
I only ever see bats flying about in the dusk and I believe they live somewhere under our roof, but I have never seen them during the day!
We did see some up close while on holidays in Ireland in summer 2004, and - of course! - my daughter had to catch them and inspect them and hold them. They have very powerful, very pointy teeth!
