EXACTLY what I expected, but then I have an excuse. My dad raised those things commercially for 49 years, so I grew up surrounded by acres of the things. I've planted them, weeded them, prepared the ground for them, strung them up, harvested them by hand, harvested them by machine, moved the irrigation pipes in them, .... You name it - I've done it.

(If those are your standard string beans, looks like another week or so and they'll be ready for stringing.)

Nope, all bush beans, purple, green & yellow. We prefer the purple ones but they are all very nice fresh from the garden.
