I took these two shots before the rain started and like them....and at the same time don't. Especially number 1.

I like 'em, #1 is my favorite with your capture of the bee in flight. May I suggest you put a space in between your photos. It will separate each photo and be easier to view. Good job!

Thanks for the complements, I didn't even think about the space

with #1, Do you think I dodged the Bee's wings out a bit much or no? I dodged highlights to make sure the detail came through clearly, but at the same time it burns them just a bit......dunno probably nitpicking to much on that

You are nitpicking a bit too much about your photo here. Photo 1 is good!
And the post processing work you did to the bee does not show. It looks ok as it is. If that were mine I'd be really happy and proud. Haven't I only yesterday tried to capture some bee-in-flight photos? I have. If I wanted to, I could now flood the "Bloopers"-section with attempted bee-in-flight photos Oh yeah.

By the way, those are some really pretty flowers!!!
Where do such flowers grow and do you happen to know what they are?

I don't know what they are, they're just blooming on a bush in front of my apartment. I will certainly try to find out for you though .

I live in College station TX, right between Waco and houston. I doubt these flowers are native however

Ah thanks, but they look like they would preferably grow somewhere south and warm . Thanks for telling me that.
Maybe we can lure digital_flower into this thread somehow, he knows all his flowers (though I am not so sure about the "southern" varieties).
