I was sitting in my chair & thinking I should put some more wood in the fire & looked over @ the butt end of this piece of Hawthorn. Interesting pattern I thought & so took a pic before tossing it into the fire.

Good texture on that one for sure. Good candidate for cropping and using as a background.
