beginner; help with book!

i am a beginner and im looking for a good, photography book that can teach me everything i need to learn.
i understand you all recommend "Understanding Exposures" by Bryan Peterson. are you talking about the one that was published in 1990?
if not, please direct me to the correct one.


which camera do you recommend for beginners?

yeah Understanding exposure by BP is a great book.

There is no book that will teach you everything, but Peterson's book is a good start. I like Michael Freeman's 'The Photographer's Eye' to learn about composition.
