Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
It's been a while, and as I sit editing, I realized I miss the forum :-) I miss posting images - receiving critique, being inspired by others, learning, etc, etc. Today was supposed to be my first day off in 8 days, and I ended up getting a Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep call and rushed into a hospital to photograph a baby who had lived about 5 minutes.

I'm exhausted!

On that note, here's a wee bit of what I've been up to:

1. Newbies

2. Babies

8. And my most endearing image (my baby sister and her family) :-)

I look forward to Thursday when I will finally have a day off :-) I hope to pop in a little more frequently, TPF has been huge part in my journey, and I realize that it has helped me to get where I am and to love what I do. I need to get back to my roots so to speak!

I'd call that pretty good work. It's not surprising that you're busy. :)

So many great photos! I'll see some people liking these 'photographers' on FB that do portraits, and I don't see what they like about most of them. The poses, the post-processing, all very blah. I absolutely LOVE your portraits though.

What gear do you use to shoot them? At least for the natural light ones.

Thank you! I shoot Canon 5D Markii an 85 f1.8 and a 24-105 f4.0 I switched brands about a year ago, and am starting over again at building up my lens supply. These were rated in the top 10 lenses for what I needed so I bought them first! I think my next purchase will be a micro.

Good stuff two color. Ya the 85 1.8 is pretty sweet. I've never shot to 24-105. I use the 85 for families sometimes as well. I've been using the 70-200 lately though.

Those eyes in #2... You've gotten to shoot some wonderfully not camera shy kids. With wonderful results. I think I need that 85 1.8 now haha

Almost all of those adorable kids I've been shooting since they were newborns. I build a little bond with them as they grow. They recognize me when they see me, and I've learned their personalities and the little things that make them tick! It really helps when I'm trying to pull that genuine, fun smile out of them! Buy the lens, it's relatively inexpensive, and provides amazing results!
