Best Digital Camera for Diving and Sightseeing? Help me choose

First off I am glad to have found this forum and I apologize in advance because I'm sure you get similar questions all day long. Unlike other requests for best camera I am looking for something that can take nice underwater photo's along with good time lapse photos. I am new to photography and I currently have a Sealife dive camera and a Olyumpus. I want to take nicer pictures that can capture movements and bold distinct colors.

What would be a good camera that can take time lapse photo's that is not big? I am familiar with camera's like t2i but I want something more portable. I've been looking into the 2 Sony Cyber-shots DSC-t110 16.1MP and the dsc-h70 16.1MP, even the sony nex-3 SLR 14.2 is an option. I also like the Samsung MV800.

I'm not too concerned about water proof but if they could be put in a dive case that would be better. I'm looking more toward the time lapse photo's camera's any recommendations would be appreciated.
