Big Iron Sparks

Not sure if these are right or any good but what the heck. I went back to the tractor show last night per the request of someone wanting me to capture their steam engines to put up for sale. Anyway, I stayed because they told me about a spark show, never heard of it. Not knowing a darn thing, I agreed but I didn't have a tripod. So I turned a garbage barrel over, stacked a log from the sawmill on top, and used a spare battery to angle up the camera. Used the 2 second timer as sort of a remote. They throw sawdust into the inner firebox, crank up the steam, and let er rip... suggestions welcome if I did the long exposure wrong or tips for a more drama.

1. Dark out, f/2.8, 6 seconds, ISO100

2. Darker out, f/2.8, 8 seconds, ISO100

NICE!!! I'm pretty sure that the second one is steel wool though, not sawdust.
