Bird identification help please? (Again)

[pjaye]

Scott took these pictures (he asked me to post them here). We think we know what it is, but aren't sure. Can anyone help us with identification? Thank you!

(I think it's a red shouldered hawk but I'm probably completely wrong)

Nice capture Barb. You got the red part right. That there is a Red-tail Hawk.

Thank you! At least I got the red and hawk part right . I can't take credit for the capture though, I was driving so Scott got to jump out of the car and take these ones. I did stop the car first. So far, we have a Merlin and now this hawk. Kind of happy about that.
