Bit of advice needed

Hi
im new to photography and just learning the basics, heres my problem its been heavy rain and strong winds for 2 weeks now and im stuck for ideas for things to take pictures of inside, apart from family members etc. Any ideas on other things

Walk into a room. Pick up the FIRST thing you see. No fair looking around for the "Right" thing, pick up THE FIRST. Now build a photograph around it.

Go outside... you're not made of sugar, you won't melt, neither will your camera. Put it in a clear plastic bag, and get out there and shoot!

Great photographs can be taken in inclement weather.

I'm like that also, looking for the most interesting thing to shoot.

Take a lot of shots with different settings, angles, zooms to get a feel for how the different adjustments create changes to the image.
