Actually I have just bought a light tent. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Here's my latest without a light tent....

That light bulb has a smiley face! I think you're going to have to meter just the object you're shooting. What would post-processing do for you??
 
I did post process. But obviously my lights are in completely the wrong position on that photo!
