Brand new and looking for feedback please

I recently purchased my first camera and have taken a few practice shots with friends children. I'm new to both photography and lightroom.

Looking for some feedback and advice. The more the better whether about the shooting composition or editing.

There's plenty to criticise here but I'll leave that to others (almost out of time before I have to leave my computer). If you're really new to photography I'd say you have oodles of potential.
I like all of these (with reservations) but for me #3 takes the prize.

Not bad; you're definitely on the right track! A couple of suggestions: Watch your framing so that you avoid cropping off bits of your subject such as the elbow and hands of the boy in the blue shirt in #1. Watch for things such as the chain which appears to grow out of the head of the boy on the left in #1. Don't be afraid to use your flash for a bit of fill light - while the faces are acceptably exposed here, they're little bit darker (under-exposed) than might be ideal, and the eyes are rather dark and lifeless. Good use of fill flash would also have allowed you to adjust your exposure so that you didn't have the large, blown area above the hedgerow in the background.

I agree with Grandad; #3 is the winner in this set.
