Alright.. Have I over cooked this photo with sat and clarity? Or does it look good, just looking for opinions.. thanks.

looks natural to me, i like it, nice work

Yes, over saturated and over sharpened.

Have to agree with Ballistics on this one.

ditto the trees look dead

If you go in and add some gradient masks to open up the foreground water (and the trees) and a darker one to knock down some of the high contrast light pops then tweak your curve to open up the rest of the detail in the water (that's all I did) and do this prior to sharpening, you can probably salvage this image.

I actually really like it. Great shot!

I really like the idea of masking but just don't see an advantage here when I look at the side by side comparison of edits. I like it, just not my style.

Oh well that's why I posted, to get opinions and to get a different perspective.

Any others?

Thanks.

a little overdone IMO, but not painfully excessive....the CA in places kindof hurts it too, and I think the saturation boost is making the CA more noticable as well.

I decreased the sat a little as well as the sharpness. See a difference? What is your opinion on this edit vs first edit?

In my edit, had I done the whole thing you would have seen Deeger's edit with the exception of his reducing the sharpening which is a huge plus. In this edit, I did go back and add the gradient to bring in some of the detail to the rocks in the water...as it sit now, at least for me, there's nothing to really capture my eye.
