Cute pic, cute baby! I would personally pull back a little to get her chin/cheek in. Not a huge fan of the editing but you didn't chose that. :) Id like a more pinky tone personally. :) lovely and clear and sharp.

Thanks Sarah...I cropped tight on purpose...I have the fuller image.
I just wanted emphasis on the face

too tight.

Agree, too tight. You could probably get away with just the top of the head, but not the cheek.

Cute baby. Love the little spit bubble. I wish more baby pictures would include something funny/personal like that. I suppose some want their babies to look like dolls, but I prefer them to look like babies.

I'll post the original

I agree the original is just a bit too tight. Clone out the saliva bubble and the bit of blanket/rug that makes it look like she has a beard.

Maybe straighten the line in the background, and you are good to go, imo.

now about the processing...

The composition is off. It looks like a snap shot, because of the lack of composition. I would follow the rule of thirds or at least no limb chops. When background elements are uneven it is very distracting to the viewer. (The wooden blind) Now to the editing..... when I look at this image there is so much "stuff" added in PP that I can't even tell what the babies skin tone really is. The areas around the eyes don't look white, the skin looks like it blends into the rug which makes it look unnatural. Which it is. I would think about the real tones of the baby, edit accordingly, and then maybe add your effects around that, but when you enhance the whole image the same way it looks very unnatural.

You don't like the bubble??

Was this a paid shoot?

I like the tight crop and the composition.
The lower eye is on or near a RoT power point and really helps draw the viewer into the image.

As mentioned the bubble on the lips should be cloned out. Actually my first thought was, "Jeez, the kid has a pierced lip?"
I recommend some additional editing on the eyes and to remove the fluff in front if the child's chin.
