The American Dream hasn't seen too much fulfillment for small farm attempts for a long time now. Shot this in southern Illinois past weekend.

I've noticed that many servoicemen are wearing flag patches with the blue field on the upper right which I think is wrong, rather than the upper left.

If it's on their right arm, then that is the correct way to display it. Same for a flag on a vehicle... on the passenger side, the union (field) is on the upper right.

When you look at it, which side is it on.... your left or your right?

There are different rules when the flag is displayed, for instance, when it can be seen from both sides (field to north or east), and when it's worn as a patch on clothing. Or on a stage. or draping a casket.

I hear ya. Drove through the midwest, off interstate, a couple of years ago. Miles and miles of farmland and crops all owned by large corporations.

The way I see it, since It's implied that the American Dream is in need of assistance it seems appropriate the flag is on it's side because because when it's turned completely upside down it means people are in distress and are in need of assistance. The flag being turned over on it's side would imply it's halfway there and the American Dream could use a little help.
