All thanks to jcdeboever for getting me through the final steps with my new power supply.
He stayed on a call with me for a long time and we repeated the steps until we found the loose connection that kept PC from booting.

Great guy, clear thinker and generous with his time and knowledge.

I hope I get to repay him in some way.

(BTW, the Corsair 650 is a real modular hunk with heavily shielded cables and lots of modular connections. It makes my old PS look like a toy.)

Your welcome Lew. No problem, glad I could help you. Yeah, that old one you had in there is a toy, surprised it didn't trash your board. Single most important piece of any computer build is a quality power supply. 99% of the builders seem to skimp on this part the most.
