Buying a used Hoya Polarizer filter today, please advise if this is good

Hi Guys, planning to buy a used Hoya Circular polarizer on Craigslist. It seems that Hoya makes several Polarizer filters. Can anyone identify which one this is by the picture? It seems to be a older version. Is it worth it to buy for $80? Is this multicoated?

This is a decent filter; the price is a bit higher than I would hope to pay for a used one, but if it's in good shape it's not a bad deal. Make sure you mount it on a lens, and that it goes on easily and smoothly without binding. Make sure the two elements rotate freely, and make sure that there are no scratches or rub marks on the elements.

thanks for the info, i dont have any of my lenes with me, but i plan on using it on my sigma 50mm & 70-200mm f2.8 L canon & tokina 11-16 2.8. would i have any problem screwing it on those lenses?

The 50 is going to be a different diameter than the other two; I had assumed that it was the corrct size for your applications, check that. The reason I say to bring a lens with you to check is because the threads on a filter are very fine and easy to damage. You want to make sure that it will attach without problem.

If its the sigma 50 f/1.4 then thats a 77mm diameter like the other two. check for looseness in the glass, and for any distortion on the filter frame as all it takes is a slight warp or bend and it won't screw on. $80 is top end, but if its flawless then go for it.
