C&C a few from the weekend

Getting flowers for the wife for Valentine's Day worked for her and I enjoyed them as well.

#1 - Just shooting some in the kitchen. I choose the gradient background because I prefer it over pure white. No pp on this one.

#2 - A little abstract of a similar photo but with a little pp.

Let me know what y'all think.

The second photo does nothing for me. However, the first photo is incredible! I would love to know the details of this photograph (camera, settings, background, etc).

#1 is very nice. I think #2 would look better in color.

#1 is a great shot! I like the composition with the creme background.

For all shots I was using my Canon XS with 18-55mm lens and RAW images. The lighting was a generic 5 CFL bulb light above the kitchen table.

#1 was shot at ISO 100, 55mm, f/20, 3.2 seconds. The background was just something i found laying around the house. I think it was from my wife's scrap book supplies.

#2 was shot at ISO 100, 55mm, f/5.6, 0.6 seconds with a white background.

Here is #2 in color as some have requested.

I am not happy with the yellow blob in the upper right corner; it a bit distracting thats why I converted it to b/w. A little pp should get that out.
