C&C - Architecture, and others

Hello everyone, I'm a new guy here at TPF. I've just joined, but lurked a bit, to get a better understanding of the community here (and that is why I've joined)!
I shoot using a Canon 60D, which happens to actually be my father's, and I still consider myself as a beginner in photography - I starting picking this up about half a year ago, fumbling around in Manual (probably not the best way to start, but it helped me understand more when I sourced online for tutorials and such).

I love black and white photography, and I'm always very open to feedback and criticism to improve, so C&C is much appreciated.

Ooooh! I just love this one!

Does the support tower actually bend, or is that distortion. Personally, if this were my shot, I would fix the distortion. But, that's me and my sensibility.

I love the second shot as well. It has sort of an intimidation factor to it that I can't really describe. The lighting, in my opinion, is good as well.

Thank you Bitter and Denali.
The tower was in fact curved, but backwards, and the apparent bend of it in this shot was actually due to distortion. I decided to leave it in though, to give that 'large' feel of it.
