I just dug through my photos of my summer vacation to Haida Gwaii and did some post work in adobe raw and photoshop. Any thoughts or opinions on what I did and could have done better? Note I only have access to one zoom lens, 18-105mm. Getting tighter shots would have been nice... only if I had a 400mm zoom lens. Thanks for the help.

Your 4th shot is great, although I'd like to see the eagle flying into the frame rather than out.
I like the composition of your first 3 shots, but the IQ is lacking - mostly because you need a lens with more reach. They appear a little washed out, so more contrast and perhaps adjust the white balance - and buy a Tamron 70-300 vc lens.

The fact that you photographed what you did with that lens earns you a pat on the back. I agree with Gary that they need some post production work.

The first is my favorite, the fourth is my least - too cliche. Two and three could use increased contrast. The first maybe a touch more shadow density, at least in the lower two sparring birds on the first. Two and three I think are over also sharpened and seem a bit crispy.

Overall, excellent captures.
