C&C: look at this photograph => did I succeed?

Very very nice. I prefer the color version, by the way is close to selective color but in a natural way.

+1

Really very nice. So, yes, you succeeded.

I also really like the slight tilt to the right of the tie line. It messes with the eye a bit (just enough to add to the "is it shopped?" feeling) and if it was either parallel to the frame of slightly tilted to the left, it would be a very different image, imo.

Thanks. I must admit that slight tilt wasn't really much thought out from my side, hehe.

@cloudwalker: If someone is walking on clouds after this thread, 'tis me

I love this! its very cool :) im wondering how you did this with 8 second shutter speed?... is that right? was the water very still? I perefer the colour version but the black and white is also very cool. Well done.

The lake was incredibly still, no ripples it seemed. Mind you, my memory of that trip, especially the earliest hours, are a blur, as it was so ridiculously early :P ISO100, f/14 or something gave me a shutter speed of 8 seconds. No filter used. This was taken before the sun rose, so there really wasn't all that much light to begin with. The boat didn't move a cm, it seems, which I really like.

I love it as well! I was like tweaked out when I scrolled down, I thought it was coming out of my screen!

Well seen, well captured. At first glance, it looks too... perfect. And you look at it carefully, all around, and then you think - either this is the best photoshopping I've ever seen, or someone got very, very lucky, and had the skills to capture it. Congratulations.

im with you i love the "is that on a angle" feel that forced my eye.....yup im jealous
That's a photograph, so, yeah, you succeeded!

;)

Great shot; well captured! My only critique is that I wish I had taken it!

C'est trés beau. I like the first one and the B&W
