I'd appreciate some C&C on this portrait. Exposure? Composition? My own critique, the posts sticking out of the water are protruding out of her shoulder... Reminds me of Bowser from Super Mario Brothers (big spiky shell)...

D5000, 50mm f/1.4 @ f/3.2, ISO 100, 1/500s, natural light

Thanks!

I think its a nice shot but I agree the spikes gotta go.

Also I think a reflector held below her at waist level would add some fill and maybe some spark to her eyes.

Thanks for the feedback, JAC526! I didn't think about a reflector, but now that you mention it, I can see how bringing more light to her neck and chest would make a big difference. I guess I figured it would have been enough with the natural overcast for light diffusion. It's funny you mention her eyes.. I try and try to get more sparkle in her eyes, but they're naturally squinty, so I've found it, well.. challenging.. Thanks again!

Good pose, good light, bad choice of background.

Good light?? Looks very flat to me.

Well focused, the rest would be a re-do in my opinion.
