Would it change anything if I told you this shot was a shot at my school for a school theme gallery to come?

I kind of felt the bleh also but I didnt want to influence minds lol.

The tiles are crooked - not sure how one would effectively work around that.

It's not just the tiles that are crooked. Look at the seats, the walls, and the smaller staircase in the back.

It seems a bit dark, and it could use a little contrast boost.

Also, I'd crop out the seats in the top left corner, to make it look like the hallway keeps going. And maybe take a bit off the top.

You're probably right. Bringing up the brightness would also blow out the floor. The people in the bottom left corner are definitely too dark though. I suppose you could dodge them.
