Are these any better??
The second picture is over exposed again. Can you see that?
Over exposure and under exposure are not rules you want to break. The first one is better but I think it would have better if you had of turned your camera and took it in portrait mode.
Yea, I suppose thats like everything in life you never stop learning.Thanks![]()
I learned my camera settings from buying a flash that I could only use in manual. It forced me to learn proper exposure really fast! One thing I found when I was starting out was that I always felt rushed and you could tell it my pictures. I had bit and pieces of people chopped off and everything was tilted. Once I started taking my time and actually looking at everything in the view finder, including the background, I found my photography got better. I'm still learning A LOT, the last set I posted was awful and I got my critique on here and used it in my next session![]()

I think if you take the time to actually plan out a shoot, you will have better luck. If it's a high key look you're hoping to achieve (I can't see why you'd deliberately overexpose otherwise), then that will take some planning and practice and a good set up. Snaps taken around the house usually look like just that, you know?
I love photo assignments too. This is a great site: LearnMyShot - Photography Tutorials, Tips, Techniques & How To Videos
