Looking pretty sick and is it worth the money are 2 different points. It is a lot of money for basically a router and an app, but it does work good and it is pretty sick. I just got one recently and have only fooled around with it a little but it does show a lot of promise. I like that you can touch the screen where you want to focus, which is good for image stacking. The only thing so far that I'm disappointed in is that you can't view full size pictures from the D800 unless you use less than full resolution which defeats the purpose. The D300 works fine, though. I got it so I can set the camera closer to the bird feeder and sit on the deck without spooking the critters. Have to wait for spring to try that.

Agreed, $300 is wicked expensive for what it is I was thinking maybe $100, but not worth it for me.

So image stacking and wildlife photography are now voyeurism. Well I guess I can see how naked animals could be voyeurism to some people.

Nothing wrong with being a pervert as long as you're not breaking laws. You say it as if it is a bad thing which couldn't be more wrong.

And, actually, I can think of one specific situation this would come in handy and that's at humming bird feeders. My father in law wants awesome pics but guy with a camera 2' away from the feeder ain't gonna cut it. Leaving the camera on a tripod and being a ways a way would make it much easier to make the captures.

Agreed. 300 is steep. Just didn't know if the pros outweigh the cons...
I can think of several other things that I need for that price.
In fact. my sofortbuild tethering software (free) has almost all the features, just not wirelessly...

I wonder if this $200 Dell tablet which run regular Win8.1 can install your software and you can Remote Destop to it via WiFi.

I know someone claim he is able to use that Dell windows tablet with Lightroom 5. But just not sure about the cable between the tablet and the camera.

Absolutely worth the money! It's great for studio work so that you can show the model a decent size image as you go, and the remote control aspect of it is phenomenal!

I was thinking of using it for outdoor architectural shots with light painting. That way I wouldn't have to run back to the camera to make adjustments. On the fence about it.

Just buy a $30 router and load a custom firmware... works really well with my D600 and android phone.
