Did you ever go to the Bombay Hook refuge? Great photo ops there!!!
$4 bucks to get in, unless you have a pass.
Be prepared to cry when you see all the millions of dollars spent on telephoto zoom lenses...I cry silently and sob inside every time..lmao
one guy will actually let you "look through" his lens...so you can see just how bad your lens really does suck...he's so kind.:lmao:

there is a couple of the bombay hook ones on flicker...I have probably 600 to 700 pics, so I dont upload them all, just the ones that had potential, and then at the time I was using the 18-55 so they pretty much sucked.
there is a thread on here somewhere where I posted them.
let me see if I can find the link to the flikr.
I dont think there was any pp on any of them...

hmm how do you post a link to the site where it's just the pics?

Almost all my photos are on my facebook. But i got alot in my flikr. just not all of them havent totally figured flikr out that much yet.

I have took my lens pen and went over top of the sensor and it still there.
Big mistake using the lens pen.
I won't even use one of those on a lens, let alone an image sensor.

I recommend you toss the lens pen in the trash and get proper lens cleaning, and image sensor cleaning tools.

one of my neighbors worked there, but she went in the military and moved to china or japan...so much for that! lol
I was supposed to get hired there, but I had to come back for like 2 more interviews with a manager and then another person...so I just said forget it.

lol alright. i guess my camera place is full of morons than. yea imma order one of those kits.

I just sent my Nikon D90 in for servicing. They mapped out a stuck pixel and cleaned and checked out the entire camera - AF, exposure, shutter, cleaned the sensor.

Cost $65.00 plus tax and the cost of shipping it to Nikon in Melville, NY.

Had the camera back in 3 weeks. I would consider this a worth doing once every year.

If you're determined to do it yourself, Thom Hogan has a how-to:

What would i do with it. Just stick it by sensor and start squeezing it

Exactly. Hold the camera in an inverted position with lens opening at about 45 and use the rocket to blow the sensor, taking care to position it so that the nozzle is pointing slightly downard. Start in the upper corner of the sensor and blow vigorously across and down in a raster pattern.

Yes i been there for over a year and cant stand it. i dont think i can do another year there. every night is just hell and you live there mad at the world. There just never happy.

there was a REAL nasty bee-yatch who was working in human resources...I thought she was just bitter because her kid was leaving for Iraq when I went on my interview...she was so mean, her attitude sucked so bad. The older guy was all about hiring me, and when he left the room to get some paperwork for me she said to me "you are aware that you will have to work practically every weekend right?...and also you will be expected to lift stuff and get dirty"
I was soooooooooo tempted to say "no way really? here? get dirty? come on?"
but I just said F-it, she apparently doesn't like me for some reason so why bother, why would I want to sit there with her and fill out paperwork and have to report to her in HR if shes such a miserable person.
Its a shame too because the older guy was so nice, I woulda enjoyed working there as I'm a pretty crafty gal. lol
