CAMERA MESSED UP! PLEASE HELP

I have a "DSC - P73 Sony 4.1 Mega Pixel Camera" and its not taking pictures on the photo setting! I left it laying around and my little brother switched something

When I try to take a photo and click the button at the top this button beside the viewing lens beeps red and on the screen it says "recording" in red letters! Does anyone know whats wrong with it! Please?!?

I'm going out to the river in the city in a bout half an hour and I wanted to take some photos...

NVM I fixed it, he put the record mode on burst so I switched it back to normal. Off to the river I go, Ill post the pictures when I get back. lol
