Hello all. I am looking to add rain protection to my pack so that I can shoot in rainy conditions. All help is appreciated, both DIY and commercial options.

AquaTech camera raingear is what I have. Works great.

Well, it's synthetic, waterproof stuff...the outside is a tight, tight weave, like some kind of microfiber cloth, or like Gor-Tex I guess. The inside of the cloth has a diagonal pattern on what feels like, well...hmmm, like some kind of modern raingear. The lens cinch is rubber-like material, stretchy, black rubber-like material with velcro closure, and there's a zipper...I have the Sport Shield 300 for 300mm f/2.8 or smaller lenses. This has a high-quality feel to it...not slippery, not cheap, not cheesy. I have used this AquaTech raingear in POURING, non-stop rain for up to 3-3.5 hours straight without any rain getting to the camera or lens.

a plastic bag...cut hole for lens.
