making a photo slideshow DVD with music? If you have any helpful links or software ideas please let me know. I'm trying to make a slideshow of the cheer team to give to the parents at the superbowl game (this Saturday!). Thanks!

Be mindful of music copyrights.

If you use a PC, Windows Movie Maker does a pretty good job on slideshows.

Pro Show Producer is pretty nice for slideshows, I used that a lot at the studio I interned at. Fairly simple to use, and easily managable for both pictures and audio.

Thanks Rauch! Do you add music to yours? How does the whole copyright thing work for this?

As an intern, I wasn't all that aware of copyright for the audio unfortunately! Never really talked about it, honestly. Most of the slideshows I made were for receptions or of wedding coverage, itself. I assume it was legal usage, as long as you purchase the song legally? Sorry I can't be much help on that question!

Normally, I do not think the song your purchase grant you that type of right. You have the right to play that song with a personal device such as personal music player or audio equipment.

Certainly you cannot distribute the song in any other way unless that is a royalty free music or stock music you obtain legally.

Is there a way to make a full sized movie with Windows Movie Maker? I made a video, but it's very small. Excuse my ignorance, I'm still new to the whole video scene.

A slide show isn't a video.

All the slide shows I make with Movie Maker, play full screen.

To use music on a slide show, you need a use license, just like the copyright to your photographs requires someone else obtain a use license from you, to use any of them.

KmH, can you guide me how to do this legally? I've seen a lot of people do like skateboarding video on youtube and put famous soundtrack. How do I do this legally for only a wedding slideshow?

You can make photo slideshow in a video format that plays on the puter or DVD player (with awesome transition between photos).

You can google "royalty free music" or "royalty free stock music".

Those are the music you can buy and use them in your video. Just like you can buy stock photos and use it to design a websites, banners or printed commercial materials.

Example :Royalty Free Award Winning Music - License

That's what I'm trying to do, but when I view full screen all my photos look really blurry.

and it only lets me save in windows movie maker file type.
