I may be wrong, but every other post of his, if not every post is "go see my facebook" seems to me like someone wants attention on their facebook. Facebook's quality has already been addressed, many times, so there is no need to keep saying "go look at my facebook version" Facebook is crap, so there is no point looking at it.

You're shooting wide open with a zoom lens, that's your major issue. They're not unacceptably sharp, but they're not as sharp as I try to make my photos (not trying to toot my own horn). The photo you posted that was acceptably sharp on FB was shot with a 135mm f/2L. That's Canon's pro-grade glass that doesn't come cheap. The 28-70/2.8 you have I believe is an off-brand like Sigma, Tamron, or Tokina just guessing by the focal length.

Prime lenses are generally sharper than zooms anyway, especially when stopped down.

My Lightroom workflow to export to FB is Export at 1000px wide on the longest edge, and to have my output sharpening set to "For screen > High." I'm satisfied with the sharpness when I post to FB.
