Canon autofocus problem

What's the latest on the autofocus problems of the latest Canon 1D Mark III and 1DsMark III? Have they been solved? Is it a firmware fix problem?

I think for the most part, it's fixed, there's sort of a work-around they put in the newest firmware where you go through the menus to change AF modes.
I dunno, I was talking to someone who had a 1D III and he said after sending it into Canon, and updated the firmware, it still wasn't fixed, so he sent it back and kept using his IIN.

Same for me,

A photog I talk with sometime at baseball, send his two 1dIII in for updating, he also said that it did not fix the problem, he now has two D3 is much happie with the autofocus
