Canon EOS Digital with Sunpak 522

I'm just moving into the digital mode. I have a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi and from my film days I have a Sunpak 522. Can I get this flash to work with the digital camera? There is no place to plug it in. Are there adapters available or am I out of luck ?
