Canon factory demo?

[chiyeung]

i was looking for a cheap dslr for my gf to use, i found a canon factory demo for a good price. What is a demo and is it worth it?

Looks like a refurb. It's currently at 389. You can but it new online for 500ish. I'd pay 100 for a little piece of mind, but I'm no sure how reliable the canon returbs are.

looks to have 1 year warranty?

As long as it has a warranty I say go for it. Also ask about blemishes as this sat somewhere as a demo and many people have handled it. I bought a guitar amp that was a factory demo off eBay when I asked I was told there was a few minor scratches and given an extra year warranty. Well worth it I got a 1100.00 amp for 700.00.
