Canon Lenses - Black vs White?

OK. The longer lenses pull in a greater amount of light than do shorter lenses. Since there is more light on the inside, the manufacturers discovered that they were have some heat-on-sensor/film issues with the intense magnification in direct sunlight issues as all lenses used to be painted black. As we know, black is the near complete absorbtion of light and white is its near complete reflectance. Hence the white paint is for heat dissipation.
