All the pros in my photoclub shoot Nikon, except for the ones that shoot Canon. or Leica. Meh. We even have one guy who shoots Sony. But we don't take him seriously since he drinks pink martinis.

There are many reasons to why one should choose Nikon over Canon, but there is one reason why they shouldn't.

Color of lens was irrelevant to its quality. Nikon has silver lenses too.

A camera is a lot like a musical instrument. If it feels right, it becomes a part of you and you don't even notice it is in your hands. Back in the day, Minolta did it for me but, that was 25 years ago. For now, Nikon feels right to me so I'm sticking with it. As for the price differential, yes, I have noticed that Canons better glass is a bit less than Nikkor. But, I really don't need much more than a couple of lenses and a good flash to keep me happy. You can't go wrong with either no matter what you choose.
