canon rebel t2i/550d is a 18 megapixels digital camera. It is mainly used by professional photographer. It is costly but the picture quality taken with this camera is awesome.

What are you talking about? It's an entry level Canon DSLR. It's a GOOD entry level, but it's NOT mainly used by Professional Photographers.

Agreed, and this is coming from a guy who owns a D7000.

Yeah, I'm not too fond of Nikon's lower class dSLRs. Their build quality seems cheaper, they handle more awkward.

But their upper level cameras have a technological advantage over Canon, sadly.

Maybe not when Canon unleashes the 1DX, but who knows. Anyways, this has nothing to do with anything. Carry on.

The 1Dx is Canon's 4 years late response to the Nikon D3/D3s/D3x series that first came out in August of 2007. Nikon's D4 is in the wings. The earthquake/tsunami was closest to the town (Sendai) where Nikon builds their FX cameras.

Nikon's entry-level cameras have features/functions that surpass Canon entry-level cameras in a number of ways, not least of which is high ISO performance.

Canon is still in the process of introducing color-aware metering to their entry-level, prosumer, and Flagship cameras, which Nikon has had in their entire lineup for years now.

Canon still does not offer Spot metering mode on all of it's entry-level cameras, and of the entry-level Canon cameras that do have Spot metering mode, Canon does not provide the capability to have the metering spot concurrent with the selected focus point, like all Nikon entry-level cameras do.

Uhm.. As a camera its so and so, but as a hand mixer it's one of the best. the autofocus motor is really powerful!

there is no autofocus motor in any Canon EOS. It's always on lens. However, it is a good camera.
