Canon Rebel XS or Nikon D60

So after al lot of research i've learned that I need a camera with a wide angle lense that I cannot find in any compact (18mm) so based on reviews, i think one of these will be my next camera.
Which one takes better pictures indoors? I need to photograph large furniture indoors.

They both take good pictures indoors, but you will need a fast lens or a flash if you're operating in mostly dim conditions. I believe Canon's 50mm 1.8 is under $100 where Nikon's is $130 new and it doesn't autofocus on the D60. I don't think you'd be disappointed either way.
