Hi All
I am looking to buy a prosumer type compact camera and need a bit of advice. I normally shoot with a 60D, but I want to get a good compact for everyday use that is fairly easy to carry around yet offers creative control and the ability to shoot raw. I am not interested in a 4/3 type format and am happy with a fixed lens. I was looking at the Canon G1x and while the large sensor is attractive, from what I can tell it has some serious drawbacks (poor macro, slow response) so I have been considering the G12 or the Panasonic DMC-LX7 and find myself wondering which is the better choice. I admit to always being a very loyal Canon girl so to even consider another brand is a big step for me! Any advice about this type of camera would be appreciated.
