Cat's eyes....

I am just starting out taking pictures, the next step is for others to critique them to help me learn.

Good choice of subject. If you have any more image at the bottom, extend the lower edge to include more of the cat's muzzle. Maybe a square crop if you have that much image.

Here is the original. I was concerned that his mane would make get in the way of the rest of his muzzle.

I have adjusted my settings, it took a bit, had to log in from my laptop.

Nice start and agree with Designer suggestion. It's good you left room of the original image,but i would also leave some more space at the top of the ears as they are very close to the edge of the frame you can always work on different crops latter makes it easy when you have the room to work with.

Thanks, I am learning that there are many pictures inside the original picture.

I think I'd clean his eyes before taking the shot, or clone the goop out of them.
