Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hello! I am a beginner in the world of photography. My dad does photography as a hobby, and I found out I like photography a lot too! I posted below a couple of shots I took. Any advice, tips, comments, etc. are welcome!

Welcome; C&C per req:

1. I think there's potential here. I really like the way you've got the shadows composed, but I think the processing is killing this image. I'm not sure that full colour is right, but perhaps a high-contrast monochrome? As-is, it's really just a collection of grey with little to grab the eye.

2. A nice scene, and a case where a portrait composition for a landscape works well. I would suggest however trying to brighten up the lower peak in the foreground and the water somewhat. Not a great deal, but enough so that the contrast between them and the background peak is less pronounced.

Nicely done - looks like you're off to a good start!

Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.

I agree with Tirediron.. The first pic has potential. 2 of the big trees in the front stand out, but the one in he middle blends in with the background a bit too much so it is kind of hard to see.

Your first photo has great leading lines with the shadows and the compisition is great. Tirediron is right, maybe if you brought in a little bit more color, or energy to the photo it would make it stand out more.

The second photo, the sky and clouds are good; however, I think the photo is being killed by the shadow on the mountain. Maybe if you brightened up the lower half, and the lake a tad, it would look better.

Those are just some of my thoughts, but I enjoy your eye and I'm sure you'll have many more great shots in the future!

I like the first one better. The lowest part of the second one is much darker than It should be, those are the clouds' shadows I guess
Nice job

#1 looks slightly tilted to the right.. it's really throwing it off for me. I also agree the PP effects don't look terribly good on it either. Love the dramatic shadows though. Definitely some potential for that one if you can get the PP right.

I like #1 and think it would be much better with more dramatic with more contrast. What about cropping the house on the left out too?

Agree with the others about the second one - has potential but needs some more work!

Great job and welcome!
