Central park

Hey all,


Yesterday I managed to spend some time in the city, wandering aimlessly and taking photos. I decided to pass through central park and take some photos. When I came across this scene I decided to set up my tripod and wait for the right passerby.

I prefer the composition of the second image.
There appears to be too much happening in the first one, too distracting.

The second image is simpler ... eye goes to seated subject then wanders to the boaters , then the trees. Better flow.

Two very nice tranquil shots. I too think the second shot is the best. Composition, lighting, and BW conversion are all spot-on. Great job.

#2 is very nice. The trees vs. the clouds/background has an interesting, almost eerie quality. Maybe I've just seen too many movies but I see what seems to be a normal, tranquil setting but something is just not quite right. I love it!
