Basics include composition and white balance, and it doesn't appear that you have mastered those. It's OK to be a beginner, everyone is at some point or another.

Would love to see the un-edited images.

A more pleasing background would have helped. The stale light and dark brown doesn't do the colors on their faces any justice.

Cute snapshots though. Would like to see them sharper with better camera to subject positioning.
