Child Portrait w/ Green Screen

its my kid. Family wanted a somewhat "formal" portrait like you get when you do the school pictures.
but why pay the school to do pictures when you have everything to do it at home?
this is a shot where we used the green screen. we don't use it very often, but sometimes its fun to mess with.
I think it turned out ok.

Not bad; I'd have another go at masking off the hair; that's always the hardest part of these shots, and it's kind of rough in places.

that is, for sure, the hardest part of portraits with the green screen. I think I would take a regular backdrop any day.

we purchased a plugin for photoshop CS5 that does the selection of the green/blue screen, and then does the switching of the backgrounds. everything else has to be done pretty much manually in photoshop.
im not really great with photoshop so the tweaking gives me a hard time. I have a steep learning curve with PS

Invest in the time to learn Photoshop - totally worth it.

Try Fluid Mask by Veritus... It runs about $150 IIRC, and works VERY well.
