Chinese Poker

In the park in Chinatown, NYC.
Chinese poker is quite difficult - at least for me.
I was invited to play by a group of older women but I knew I would be outclassed and out of money quickly.

I wonder how you would do photographing people in your own milieu, you know, rather than your focus on the "ethnic".

I used to have to arrest people doing this in the public parks in Hong Kong.

They rarely used playing cards there though, Pai Kau (played with tiles like dominoes) was more popular, along with "The Numbers Game" (until the government lottery came along as competition and shut them down almost overnight).
