Choosing a lense package...

I am going to purchase a D90 for my wife's b-day and am trying to decide which lense package to get. I think I have it narrowed down to two options; 1) 18-55mm VR and 55-200mm VR or 2) 18-105mm VR, 70-300mm and 50mm 1.8f.

Any thoughts or suggestions on which package I should get?

Definitely 2. Not only is the 50 f/1.8 a valuable inclusion in the kit, but the 18-105mm is a better lens than the 18-55mm by quite a margin.
