cleaning viewfinder?

What should I use to clean the viewfinder??? Im not sure how it got dirty...but there are little lines all over it. The only thing I can think of is that my eyelashes hit it when Im looking through it. Can I just use a cotton swab and alcohol?

I have long eyelashes so mine gets dirty everyday. I carry q tips with me and they work just fine.

Mine picks up lint from my shirt. I, mistakenly, thought it was glass on my old camera and just rubbed the lint off. Big mistake. The viewfinder was plastic, soft, and scratched badly. Now I use a brush or a blower. If you have lines, I suspect they'll still be there no matter what you do. It didn't really effect my use of the camera but it irritated my neat side.
