Close-Up Shots Needed For Jewelry With Canon AE-1 Program Film Camera

I've owned this Canon AE-1 Program film camera about forever...used it to get some great shots of my dog & that was about it. It paid for itself doing just that! I need to get some close-up shots of jewelry (rings) I want to sell on the 'net. I figured I might find a lens on ebay or somewhere. I've read where FD lenses for that camera are really cheap. I was Watching a 28-55 Macro zoom lens on ebay & posted a question to the seller. He answered saying I should get a fixed rather than zoom lens for small items I'm photographing. I don't want to buy a digital camera right now if possible. What do I want to buy? Thanks.
