Really like this picture, although I'm sure how to explain it. I like the lines and the shadows and how it spreads across the image.
The one thing I'm unsure is if it works better in BW or colour?
What do you think?

1. BW

Thank you. I'm leaning that way as well.

I'd have to agree about the B+W, though, I'm really not sure what it is.

Take a closer look, it's something sure you see everyday.

Well, I'm guessing its trees...My question becomes: What about this picture do you like? (I don't mean that in any sort of condescending way either...)

Maybe it would be cool if you changed the white balance in the coloured version...

You are right. And no worries, that is a fair question.

I know it's not the "perfect picture" but i simply like the lines and the reflection of th light. I find it interesting as my eyes get drawn across the image following the light. Secondly, I like how it kinda looks like roots of the tree but it's above ground.

I didn't even think of that when opening it up. The light is coming from a street light that orange, so I went with the tungsten WB and it came out like a hybrid of the BW and the original.

This is how it turned out.

What shadows?

There has to be more than just 'black' for shadows...

I take it that it's tree branches?

Doesn't really do anything for me ... sorry.

Shadows was probably the wrong way to explain it. I should have said the reflection of the light and the abstract aspect of it all.

Yes it is tree branches.

No need to be sorry. I appreciate the feedback.
